Extension Housing: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle and install suitable safety stands.
2. Remove the rear propeller shaft.
3. Pry the seal out of the extension housing.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Tools Required:

J 36503 Rear Extension Seal Installer or equivalent.
1. Install the seal, using J 36503.
2. Fill the space between the seal lips with SLF/with friction modifier P/N 8-13277-916-0 or equivalent.
3. Install the rear propeller shaft.
4. Check the transmission oil level. Add transmission oil if required.
5. Lower the vehicle.
