Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair
On-Vehicle Service
Remove or Disconnect
1. The battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notes.
2. The accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
3. The HVAC control assembly. Refer to Control Assembly and Blower Switch in Heater, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
4. The radio mounting screws.
5. The radio.
6. The radio nuts.
7. The instrument panel center compartment from radio.
Install or Connect
1. The instrument panel center compartment to radio.
2. The radio nuts.
Tighten

Radio mounting nuts to 2.8 N.m (25 lb in).
3. The radio.
4. The radio mounting screws.
Tighten
-
Radio to instrument panel mounting screws to 2.8 N.m (25 lb in).
5. The HVAC control assembly. Refer to Control Assembly and Blower Switch in Heater, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
6. The accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
7. The battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notes.

Check circuit operation.
