Backup Lamp Switch: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable assembly from the battery negative terminal. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Support the vehicle with safety stands.
4. Disconnect the backup lamp switch electrical connector.
5. Remove the backup lamp switch.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the backup lamp switch. The backup lamp switch has pre-applied thread sealant on the threads.
Tighten the backup lamp switch to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Connect the backup lamp switch electrical connector.
3. Remove the safety stands.
4. Lower the vehicle.
