Camshaft Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (See: Intake Manifold/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the ignition coils. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement (See: Powertrain Management/Ignition System/Ignition Coil/Service and Repair).
3. Remove the following electrical connectors from the camshaft cover.

The fuel injector (1)

The heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) (2)

*

The engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor (3)

4. Remove the camshaft cover ground wire bolt (1) from the cover.
5. Remove the ground wire from cover.
