Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair
Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle only high enough to access the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve through the wheelhouse.
Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the left wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Fender/Front Fender/Front Fender
Liner/Service and Repair) .
3. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Line Coupler/Service and Repair/Plastic Collar
Quick Connect Fitting Service) in order to disconnect the following from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve (3):

The EVAP purge hose/pipe
*
The EVAP purge hose (1)
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve.
