Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair
Removal

1.

Raise and support front of vehicle.

2.

Remove wheel and tire assembly.

3.

Remove brake hose retaining clip from strut, then disconnect hose from caliper.

4.

Unfasten caliper from steering and support caliper.

5.

Remove rotor, then the hub using tools J-34866 and J-2619-01 or equivalents, Fig. 4.

6.

Remove splash shield.

7.

Remove tie rod using suitable tool.

8.

Remove 2 ball joint-to-control arm and tension rod attaching nuts and bolts.

9.

Remove steering knuckle-to-strut attaching nuts and bolts and the steering knuckle, Fig. 1.
