The following instruments are required to perform the regulator test: Variable DC power source, voltmeter and test lamp. Connect
components mentioned as shown in Fig. 9

Take measurements at the following points with instruments connected to the regulator assembly as shown in
Fig. 10.

Connect regulator circuit to the power source.
Do not connect regulator ``L'' terminal to the power source with regulator ``S'' terminal
disconnected. Damage to the regulator will result.
3.
Ensure test light is off at approximately 13.8 to 14.4 volts, when tested by gradually increasing the voltage from 10 volts.
