Voltage Signal: Description and Operation
System Voltage
When battery voltage becomes low enough to affect ignition system spark strength, the ECM can compensate by entering battery voltage correction
mode. This is one of the modes of operation by which the ECM controls the fuel injection system. In this mode, the ECM can:
1.
increase the amount of fuel delivered.
2.
increase idle rpm.
3.
increase ignition dwell time.
