Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair
Steering Knuckle

1.

Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.

2.

Remove brake caliper and support out of way. Do not allow caliper to hang by hose.

3.

Remove brake rotor, then pry hub nut open and discard used nut.

4.

Using tie rod end removal tool No. J-21687-02 or equivalent, disconnect tie rod end from steering knuckle.

5.

Remove lower ball joint pinch bolt from steering knuckle.

6.

Remove strut assembly lower retaining bolts, then the hub and knuckle assembly.

7.

Reverse procedure to install.
