About the Pickup
Isuzu's compact pickup, the Faster, was made from 1972 to 2002 and sold under many names. In the US, Isuzu sold it as the P'up from 1981, alongside the Chevrolet LUV built from the same truck, and added a Spacecab extended cab for 1987. The third generation (TF) arrived in 1988. In 1996 Isuzu replaced it in North America with the Hombre, a version of the Chevrolet S-10.

- 1982–1987 (second generation): the 1.8-litre (G180Z) and 2.0-litre (G200Z) fours, the 2.3-litre four and the 2.2-litre diesel (C223).
- 1988–1994 (third generation): the 2.3-litre (4ZD1) and 2.6-litre (4ZE1) fours, the 2.0-litre four and a 3.1-litre V6, with two or four-wheel drive.
