SB91-04-009, to correct detent pin and spring location.)
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1988-91 Rodeo (UC), Trooper II (KT) and Pickup (TF) models equipped with cruise control.
SERVICE INFORMATION
On affected vehicles, the cruise control switch detent pins may become worn, causing the switch to become inoperative. Replacing the detent pins will
restore cruise control switch operation. For case of repair, a cruise control switch repair kit (see "Parts Information" section of this Service Bulletin)
provides new components for the cruise control switch. All of the repair kit components should be installed, to ensure proper cruise control switch
operation.
This Service Bulletin contains the procedure for installing the new cruise control switch components provided in the repair kit.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
Refer to Figure 1.
1.
Be sure the ignition switch is in the "OFF" position.
2.
Remove existing cruise control switch components as follows:
NOTE
Use a miniature pick or other small suitable tool for removal of components.
