RODEO (UC) SPARE TIRE CARRIER RATTLE

AFFECTED VEHICLES

All Rodeo (UC) models equipped with an exterior spare tire carrier before June 1991 production.

SERVICE INFORMATION

A rattling noise coming from the tailgate area may be caused by the spare tire carrier lever contacting the carrier. To eliminate the rattle, install a rubber
cushion (see "Parts Informafion" section of this Service Bulletin) to the spare tire carrier lever.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Apply a bead of trim adhesive to the inside of the rubber cushion (sec "Parts Information" section).

2. Install the rubber cushion to the spare tire carrier lever, as shown in Figure 1.
