1992-93 Trooper (UX) and Rodeo (UC) models equipped with 3.2L V6 engine.

SERVICE INFORMATION

At cold engine start-up, some affected vehicles may experience a squeaking noise coming from the alternator belt. To eliminate the noise, adjust the
alternator belt tension to 110 +/- 10 lbs.

Correct alternator belt tension specifications (cold engine) for referenced Workshop Manuals for 3.2L V6 engine are:

Initial Tension

180 +/- 10 lbs.

Readjustment Tension

110 +/- 10 lbs.
