Camshaft: Description and Operation

1.

Remove bearing retaining snap ring and tap bearing from retainer with a mallet.

2.

Remove rear seal using screwdriver or drift.

3.

Install new bearing using tool No. J-7818 or equivalent. Ensure shielded side of bearing faces toward inside of case.

4.

Install bearing retainer snap ring.

5.

Install new rear seal using installation tools No. J-8092 and J-29162 or equivalents.
