Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch: Description and Operation
Pressure Difference Between Front And Rear Brake Hydraulic Circuits
Rear Wheel Antilock Brakes
The brake pressure differential switch senses the pressure difference between the front and rear brake hydraulic circuits. If the pressure difference is
greater than a preset value, the valve shuttles to one side and closes the switch, provideing a ground for the red "BRAKE" warning indicator lamp.
The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) also receives this ground signal; it will disable the RWAL system and light the "Rr ABS" indicator
lamp, but no diagnostic trouble code will be stored.
