NOTE: Before removing the assembly, raise the vehicle and support the frame with suitable safety stands.

REMOVAL

1. Remove the nut and cotter pin then disconnect the outer track rod assembly from the center track rod using a J-36331 Special Service Tool (SST) 

tie rod remover.

CAUTION: Be careful not to break the ball joint boot.

2. Remove the nut and cotter pin from the pitman arm and remove the pitman arm from the center track rod using a  J-36831 remover.

CAUTION: Be careful not to break the ball joint boot.
