ASSEMBLY
1. Start assembling the pump by installing the rear housing, the pin and the cam.
2. Install the Rotor and vane taking care to install the rotor with its carved mark facing the front housing, then install the vanes with curved face in
contact with the inner wall of the cam.
3. Install the side plate.
CAUTION: When installing side plate, be careful not to damage its inner surface. Damaged side plate may cause poor pump performance, pump
seizure or oil leakage.
4. Install the front housing then the Oil seals. Be sure to discard used parts, and always use new parts for installation.
5. Place the new gasket on the housing and be sure to discard used parts, and always use new parts for installation.
6. Install the rear housing and pump cartridge and insert the housing bolt, tightening the bolt to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
7. Insert the oil seal.
CAUTION: When installing the oil seal, be careful not to damage the oil seal contacting surface of the housing. Be sure to discard used parts, and
always use new parts for installation.
8. Install the shaft assembly and the snap ring.
9. Install the pressure switch assembly, tightening it to 20 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).
10. Attach the connector and O-ring, tightening the connector to 74 Nm (54 ft. lbs.). Be sure to discard used parts, and always use new parts for
installation.
11. Attach the pump bracket and O-ring, tightening the bracket to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.). Be sure to discard used parts, and always use new parts for
installation.
12. Attach the bracket and bolt, tightening the bracket to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.) and the bolt to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
