Remove the A/C pulley using a universal pulley remover and pulley-pulley pilot J-38424. (Figure 5)
IMPORTANT
It is very important that pulley-puller pilot J-38424 is used with the pulley remover during this step to prevent damage to the compressor. If the
pilot is not used, the driving bolt of the pulley remover will force the compressor shaft into the housing, causing possible damage to the
compressor.
NOTE:
During pulley removal, verify that the force of the pulley remover is applied only to the pulley and not the coil assembly. (Figure 6)

Install the new A/C pulley, using special tool J-33940-A with the handle removed.
