Install the new rear defogger switch, supplied from the kit, into the opening in the meter cluster assembly. Connect the grey 5-pin female connector
of the rear defogger extension harness into the green 5-pin male connector on the back of the new rear defogger switch (figure 11).

Reinstall the meter cluster assembly and the driver's side instrument panel lower cover assembly in accordance with section 8F of the Workshop
Manual.

Reconnect the battery ground cable and reset any radio station presets.

When all repairs have been completed, hook up a scan tool and reprogram the PCM using Isuzu Technical Communication System (ITCS) CD # 10,
issued 2/98. When reprogramming is completed, start the engine and check the rear defoggers and mirror defoggers for proper operation. Verify the
ignition voltage is within specification. When checks are completed, go to APPLYING THE CAMPAIGN LABEL.

Applying Campaign Label

1.

Using a ball-point pen, fill in a campaign label (Part No. 2-90028-700-0) with Campaign Number 9804L2, Isuzu dealer code, and repair date
(figure 12).

2.

Affix the campaign label adjacent to the manufacturer's identification label located on the driver's side B-pillar.
