Transmission Mode Indicator - A/T: Description and Operation
With the ignition switch in ON, battery voltage is applied to the automatic transmission mode switch through fuse 14. The automatic transmission mode
switch sends a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and alarm and relay control unit corresponding to the gear selected. The alarm and
relay control unit applies voltage to the appropriate A/T shift indicator light in the meter assembly, causing it to come on.
