While holding the core assemblies into position, use the crimping tool of J-44488 to stake the (4) retaining tabs of the new housing. (Figure 13 and
14)

Tap the crimping tool with a mallet to stake the tabs.
11.
Reinstall the upper latch bracket and the circular clip to the assembled lock cylinder. (Refer to Figure 5)
12.
Using the vehicle key, check for proper operation of the repaired lock cylinder assembly.

With the button in the OUT position, turn the key back and forth and verify the movement of the latch bracket.
