SERVICE INFORMATION
Condition:
The Hydraulic Unit (EHCU-ABS pump) runs continuously regardless of ignition key position. In some instances ABS light goes on and/or battery
drainage occurs. When the condition occurs (ABS pump running continuously), the hydraulic brakes will continue to operate normally but the ABS
system will not be in operation.
Possible Cause:
An internal short in the Coil Integrated Module may cause the Hydraulic Unit to run continuously regardless of key position and does not turn the ABS
pump off.
Correction:
Replace the Coil Integrated Module according to the procedures described in the bulletin.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Park and secure the vehicle.
2.
Record the customer's radio settings and disconnect the battery ground terminal.
3.
Open the hood and support with the prop rod.
4.
Replace the Coil Integrated Module,
