Turn the engine off.
^
Remove the drain plug.
^
Immediately replace with a "New" Drain Plug Kit (the kit includes new plug and 0-ring). (Figure 2)

Tighten the drain plug to the specified torque of 28 lb ft.
6.
With the engine off, inspect the Overfill Plug for any signs of leakage.
IMPORTANT:
Do not open the Overfill Plug with the engine off.

If leakage is found at the overfill screw (or replenishing the transmission fluid from transmission fluid loss during drain plug replacement):

Start the engine and let the engine idle for 3 minutes.

Remove the overfill screw.
^
Add transmission fluid.
^
Replace (if leakage is found) with "New" Drain Plug Kit (the kit includes new plug and 0-ring). (Figure 2)
^
Tighten the overfill screw to the specified torque of 28 lb ft.
8.
Return the vehicle to the customer after repair.
