PREPARATION:  Raise the vehicle and support the frame with suitable safety stands. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Remove the brake caliper and
disconnect brake pipe. Support lower control arm with a jack.

REMOVAL  

1. Speed sensor cable (If equipped with antilock brake system).

2. Nut and cotter pin. Remove the upper ball joint from the steering knuckle.

CAUTION:  Be careful not to break the ball joint boot.
