Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

NOTE: This procedure applies to the removal and installation of the Electronic Thermostat, Evaporator Core and the Expansion Valve. Therefore,
depending on which component you are servicing, some steps may not be applicable.

Electronic Thermostat, Evaporator Core and/or Expansion Valve 

Removal 

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Discharge and recover refrigerant. See: Service and Repair
3. Remove evaporator assembly.
4. Pull the sensor from the evaporator assembly.
5. Remove attaching screw.
6. Remove upper case.
7. Remove lower case.
