1999-2000 VehiCROSS C-31 GROUND CONDITION
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1999-2000 VehiCross (VX) with the headlights on and a loose, broken or open C-31 ground.
SERVICE INFORMATION
It has been found that if the C-31 ground is loose, broken, or open, with the vehicle running and the headlights on, the vehicle will operate normally.
However, after the ignition is cycled off with the headlights ON, the following symptoms may occur:

The vehicle will continue to run.

The TOD light will blink.
^
The Check Engine light will illuminate with no codes.
^
The Air Bag light will be ON.
^
The ABS light will be ON.
^
The battery light will be on dim.
^
The Speedometer will jump from 10-85 mph and the odometer will register miles.
Once the headlights are turned off with the ignition key in the off position, the vehicle will shut off.
