Electrical Seat Inoperative or Operation Noise / Judder

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE

CONDITION SUMMARY:

CORRECT REPAIR FOR FRONT SEATS THAT ARE INOPERATIVE, NOISY, OR JUDDER

Situation: 

Lack of lubrication or motor failure can result in front seats that are inoperative, noisy, or judder when adjustment is attempted.

Action: 

Determining which front seat track axis is at fault will facilitate the repair:

Front height rise or cushion extension - Follow Procedure 1.

Rear height rise - Follow Procedure 2.

^

Fore/aft - Follow Procedure 3.

Motor stepping (inching) - memory potentiometers/hall sensors - Follow Procedure 4. Should a customer experience the listed electrical seat faults,
follow the relevant Repair Procedure.
