Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill

Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill (44.24.02)

Special Service Tools

Drain

1. Remove the transmission undertray.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.

3. Place a suitable container under the transmission.

4. Using the special tool, remove the transmission fluid fill plug.

Remove and discard the transmission fluid fill plug.

5. NOTE:  If an integral problem is suspected, drain the transmission fluid through a paper filter. A small amount of metallic particles may be found

from normal wear. However, if excessive metallic particles are present, internal inspection may be required.

Remove and discard the transmission fluid drain plug.
