Steering Gear (57.10.01)
Removal
All vehicles

1. Center the steering wheel.

Lock in position, remove the ignition key.

2. Remove both tie-rod ends.
3. Remove both tie-rod end lock nuts.
4. Remove the air deflector.

5. Make sure the alignment mark on the steering gear pinion seal protection cover is central to the steering gear pinion casting.

6. Loosen the lower steering column pinch bolt.
