Attach the heat sensitive paper (supplied in kit) to the inside surface of the rear windshield. (Figure 2)

Ensure all elements are contacting the paper.

Start the engine.
8.
Switch the rear windshield heater 'on'.
9.
Identify failed elements by observing a color change of the heat sensitive paper. (Figure 2)
10.
Make note of the position of the failed element(s).
11.
Switch the rear windshield heater 'off'.
12.
Turn the engine off.
13.
Remove the heat sensitive paper.
14.
Locate the failure point in the inoperative element(s).
