Convertible Top Hydraulic Lift Cylinder Hoses

Convertible Top Hydraulic Lift Cylinder Hoses (76.86.24)

Removal

1. Power convertible top to fully lowered position.
2. Power adjacent seat to fully forward position.
3. Remove battery cover and disconnect ground cable from battery terminal.
4. Remove trunk floor carpet.
5. Remove trunk front liner.
6. Remove trunk rear finisher.
7. Remove trunk RH liner.
8. Position a piece of absorbent cloth on trunk floor to protect paintwork from any fluid spillage.
9. Turn hydraulic pump valve fully counter-clockwise to manual operation position.

10. Remove rear seat cushion.
11. Remove rear seat squab.
12. Remove rear quarter casing cappings.
13. Remove rear quarter casings.
14. Remove rear speaker (premium ICE only).
15. Manually move top to fully raised position.
16. Position a piece of absorbent cloth below hydraulic cylinder to protect paintwork from any fluid spillage.
17. Disconnect hoses from hydraulic cylinder.

Identify and mark position of hoses relative to hydraulic cylinder connectors.

Slacken and remove hoses from hydraulic cylinder and fit blanking plugs to cylinder and hose connectors.

18. Remove carpet from convertible top stowage compartment.
19. Route free end of each hose under headlining and rear harnesses and around seat squab support panel to RH side of vehicle (LH hydraulic cylinder

hoses only).

20. Sever, remove and discard tie straps securing hoses and rear harness to BIW.
21. Slacken and remove the two pump assembly securing bolts, release pump from outboard grommet locations and position for access to outboard

hoses.
