Hydraulic Fluid Leak from Convertible Header Rail

CONDITION SUMMARY:
HEAT DEGRADATION REQUIRES HYDRAULIC REPAIR
Situation:
Hydraulic hose degradation through heat soak in hot climate conditions may result in hydraulic oil leaking from the header rail into the interior of the car.
Action:
Should a customer express concern, cut and replace the existing hoses at the A-pillar area, behind the auxiliary fuse box location. It is no longer
necessary to change the entire hydraulic hose. Follow the Service Instruction outlined below.

Hydraulic Hose Repair Removal Procedure
HYDRAULIC HOSE REPAIR REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open door.
2. Turn ignition 'ON'.
3. Power the convertible top to the fully lowered position.
4. Turn ignition 'OFF'.
5. Refer to GTR Workshop Manual, section: 414-01 and disconnect battery ground cable.
