Insert the white/blue wire previously removed from the eight-way connector pin 3 into the two-way connector (Illustration 4).

Note:

Ensure the white/blue wire is installed into the correct cavity to line up with the wire in the link lead.

19.

Close the anti-back-out device.

20.

Reconnect the two-way connector (Illustration 5).

21.

Secure the two-way connector to the harness using a suitable harness tape to prevent potential rattle.

22.

Reinstall the eight-way connector to the retaining tang.

23.

Feed the link lead over the top of the steering column.

Note:

Ensure the link lead is free from potential damage from the column mechanism and any sharp edges.
