In the passenger compartment, remove the master cylinder push rod clip (Figure 5) and disconnect the push rod from the pedal. Inspect clip
for lock tab distortion, replace if necessary.

Remove master cylinder mounting bracket stud nuts, (Figure 5).

Pull the brake hydraulic unit and mounting bracket forward, tilting the front upward, until the bracket studs are clear of the dash panel. Tilt
the inboard side of the unit up to gain access to the ECU harness connector, (Figure 6).
