Disconnect the ECU harness from the pressure modulator, (Figure 7).

Lift the assembly up and out of the engine compartment and place it on a clean, dry bench.
Actuator and Reservoir Assembly Replacement:
1.
Secure, but do not crush, the hydraulic unit in a vise, (Figure 8). Do not clamp on the modulator electrical connector located below the
actuator or damage the mounting studs.
2.
Remove tube clips from front of actuator housing.
3.
Disconnect the following lines using a line wrench:
a)
Proportioning valve to modulator line - disconnect from modulator.
b)
Tee to modulator line - disconnect from modulator.
c)
Accumulator inlet line to actuator - disconnect from actuator.
d)
Primary brake line - disconnect from actuator.
e)
Secondary brake line - disconnect from actuator.
f)
Actuator-to-modulator boost line - disconnect from modulator (use 9/16" wrench to hold adapter in actuator).

The proportioning valve and all but two (2) of the tubes can now be removed as an assembly by tilting them down in the front and moving
them forward.
5.
Loosen the modulator return hose clamp at the reservoir and remove hose. Plug hose to prevent contamination.
6.
Remove assembly from the vise and place on a clean dry bench.
