Commander 2WD V8-4.7L Flex Fuel (2009)
9. Disconnect the left & right O2 sensor electrical connectors (2).
10. Saturate the exhaust pipe/catalytic converter assembly bolts and nuts with Mopar(R) Rust Penetrant. Allow 5 minutes for penetration.
11. Remove the bolts (3) from the left exhaust pipe/catalytic converter assembly (4).
12. Loosen but do not remove the bolts from the right exhaust pipe/catalytic converter assembly.
13. Remove the exhaust manifold lower rear heat shield retaining nut.
14. Lower the vehicle.
15. Remove the left front tire and wheel assembly.

Shield - Removal
17. Reposition any harnesses as needed.
18. Remove the lower front and the two upper heat shield retaining nuts and remove the heat shield.
19. Raise and support the vehicle.
20. Using the sequence shown, remove the bolts/studs from the exhaust manifold.
21. Lower the vehicle.
