Jeep Wagoneer workshop manuals
Jeep Wagoneer at a glance: 8 manuals, covering 1982 to 1990 models, with engines from 2.1 to 5.9 litres.
About the Wagoneer
The full-size Wagoneer (SJ) dates from 1963. From the 1984 model year a compact Wagoneer was also built on the XJ Cherokee, a more upmarket version with its own grille and, on the Limited, wood-effect side trim; it was unrelated to the full-size Grand Wagoneer and was made until 1990.
What these manuals cover
- 1982–1983 (full-size SJ): the 4.2-litre straight-six and the 5.9-litre V8.
- 1984–1990 (compact XJ): the 2.8-litre V6, the 2.1 turbo diesel, the 2.5-litre four and the 4.0-litre straight-six.
Tip: the compact Wagoneer is mechanically a Cherokee of the same year.
