1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Remove drive belt(s), engine fan, hub assembly, damper pulley and vibration damper.
3.
Remove A/C compressor and alternator bracket assembly.
4.
Remove oil pan to timing case cover and timing case cover to cylinder block bolts.
5.
Remove timing case cover and gasket from engine, Fig. 8.
6.
Using a suitable tool, cut oil pan gasket end tabs flush with front face of engine cylinder block and remove gasket tabs.
7.
Clean timing case cover, oil pan and cylinder block gasket surfaces.
8.
Remove crankshaft oil seal from timing case cover.
9.
Apply a suitable sealer to timing case cover gasket and install onto cylinder block.
