Remove the tailgate door handle and two (2) mounting bolts. Using a small flat blade screw driver, remove the trim tab and single (1) mounting
screw.

Remove the two (2) plastic trim screws from the rear latch and remove the lower trim cover from the vehicle.
5.
Disconnect the two (2) tailgate actuator assembly electrical connectors. Remove the three (3) tailgate latch bolts.
