Evaporative Canister Filter: Service and Repair
Replacement
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2. Lift the vehicle
3. Disconnect the canister close valve connector (A).
4. Disconnect the vapor hoses (B).
5. Remove the protector installation nuts (C).
6. Remove the fuel tank air filter assembly.
7. Install a new fuel tank assembly.
Fuel tank air filter protector installation nut:
6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb-ft)
Fuel tank air filter installation bolt:
3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb-ft)
