Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair
Removal
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2. Lift the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the canister close valve connector (A) and the vapor hose (B,C,D) from the canister.
4. Remove the wiring (A) after removing clips.
5. Remove the canister after removing the canister protector installation nuts (B).
Installation
Installation is reverse of removal.
Canister installation bolt :
3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb-ft)
Canister protector installation nut :
6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb-ft)
