Service Campaign: Optima A/C Receiver-Drier
This bulletin provides information on a service campaign to replace the air conditioning system receiver-drier on 2003MY Optima models produced
from 11/14/02 through 4/16/03.
The desiccant bag inside the receiver-drier may come apart allowing the desiccant material to enter the system and plug the expansion valve. Should this
occur, the A/C system will not cool. To correct the potential for this occurring, Kia is conducting a service campaign to replace the receiver-drier in
affected vehicles.
* NOTICE
There is no charge to the customer for this repair.
INSPECTION:
Open hood and check for SC033 Campaign Completion Label.
