Upper Side Moulding / Trim: Service and Repair
REPLACEMENT
SIDE GARNISH AND SIDE SILL REPLACEMENT
NOTE:
a. When prying with a flat-tipped screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damaged.
b. Put on gloves to protect your hands.
c. Take care not to scratch the body surface.
1. Prepare to release the molding clips from inside the vehicle.
a. To remove the front door molding, remove the front door panel.
b. To remove the rear door molding, remove the rear door panel.
2. Release the clips, and gently pry the front door molding (A) or rear door molding (B) away from the door while removing the adhesive tape.
3. Pull the inner fender back as necessary, and remove the screws.
4. Remove the clips from the body.
5. Slide the side sill panel (C) forward and remove it.
6. Replace any damaged clips.
7. Install the side sill panel.
