This bulletin provides information relating to the Kia Universal Multimedia Interface Tester (MIT). The MIT was developed to quickly and accurately
address customer concerns with the AUX, USB and Bluetooth(R) functions of the audio system on 2008 and newer Kia vehicles.
The new MIT offers the following advantages:
Verify operation of the AUX and USB ports
^ Quick and accurate port checking for proper operation
^ Eliminates the need to locate AUX, USB, or iPod cables
^ Customer no longer needs to provide a personal MP3 Player, iPod(R), or other music device for testing the vehicles system
Confirm phone pairing and connectivity operation
^ Quickly and accurately check pairing process on the service drive
^ Customer no longer needs to provide their personal cell phone
^ Fast determination of a phone's incompatibility with the Bluetooth(R) system
^ Eliminates searching the dealership for phones to test system operation
