Recall Campaign: Seat Strikers
This bulletin provides information related to a recall on some 2002MY Sedona models to replace 2nd and 3rd row seat strikers. The seat strikers on
affected vehicles may have improper heat treating and although there have been no occurrences, they could break in a severe accident.
Affected production is 5/28/01 through 6/23/01. To correct this potential safety defect, Kia is recalling affected 2002MY Sedonas to replace certain seat
strikers.
* NOTICE
There is no charge to the customer for this repair. Under applicable law, you may not sell or otherwise deliver any affected 2002 Sedona until it has
been repaired, pursuant to the procedures set forth in this bulletin.
INSPECTION:
Open right sliding door and check for campaign completion label.

If label exists, NO FURTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED.

If label DOES NOT EXIST, check vehicle claim history for SC030 completion.

If label or SC030 claim history does not exist, continue on to Repair Procedure.
