Oil Filter: Description and Operation

Filter selection 

All Kia Motor Company engines are equipped with a high quality, throw-away oil filter. This filter is recommended as a replacement filter on all
vehicles. The quality of replacement filters varies considerably. Only high quality filters should be used to assure the most efficient service. Make sure
that the rubber gasket from the old oil filter is completely removed from the mating surface on the engine block, before installing the new filter.
