Brake Bleeding: Service and Repair
Brake System Flushing
1. Follow the procedure outlined in Brake System Bleeding. See: Brake System Bleeding Procedures
2. Continue bleeding and replacing the brake fluid until only clean fluid is expelled at each wheel cylinder.
NOTE: Approximately 1 quart (1 liter) of brake fluid will be required to completely flush the hydraulic system.
3. Fill the reservoir to the MAX level line using DOT-3 or DOT-4 (SAE J1703) brake fluid.
