2-4 Brake Band Servo: Adjustments

CAUTION:
-

Clean the transaxle exterior thoroughly with a steam cleaner or cleaning solvents.

Wear eye protection when using compressed air to clean components.

1. Support the engine by using the SST (or equivalent).
2. Raise the vehicle and support it with safety stands.
3. Drain the ATF into a container.
4. Remove the engine mounting member.

5. Remove the oil pan, gasket, and control valve body, refer to CONTROL VALVE BODY.

NOTICE:  
-

Do not reuse the gasket.

Prevent entry of dust, etc. into the control valve body.

6. Compress the servo retainer, remove the snap ring, then remove the band servo assembly.

NOTICE:  Do not deform the snap ring when removing it.
