Spectra GS L4-18L Axle Shaft Assembly Service and Repair Guide
Caution:
a) Install a protective material in a vice, and secure CV joint in the vice.
b) Keep dust or foreign material from joint during procedure.
c) Do not disassemble wheel side ball joint.
d) Do not wash joint unless disassembling it
Notice: Do not disassemble boot band on wheel side unless necessary.
1. Pry up locking clip of transaxle-side boot retention band with a screwdriver.
2. Remove band with pliers.
3. Slide boot along shaft to expose joint.
4. Mark tripod housing and shaft for proper reassembly.
