There have been concerns with the HVAC blower motor on 1998-2002 MY Sportage's. Two improvements have been implemented; from 3/8/2001
production, a clip is used to balance the impeller instead of a balance boss. From 7/3/2001 production, the impeller diameter has increased from 148 mm
to 155 mm.
